New to Halifax
New to Halifax so just popping in to say hi!
I stopped by Everwood for the first time yesterday and amid being impressed with the grain selection was told to check out this forum. I've been brewing for a couple of years now and am at the stage where I want to get a bit more technical. Really I'm looking for general information on suppliers in Halifax (grain, CO2, etc) and any help on setting up a RIMS system so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Colin

Check out the Vendors section for info on grains and equipment and stickies at the top of General Homebrew for CO2 filling. I'm sure someone will chime in with info on a RIMS setup.

Re: New to Halifax
Hey Colin, I was at Everwood when you were there and mentioned a mash tun to you. If you have any interest just let me know.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Hey, I certainly would be interested! The one I've got is a bit small and is kind of limiting. Just let me know how I can get a hold of you! Thanks!LiverDance wrote:Hey Colin, I was at Everwood when you were there and mentioned a mash tun to you. If you have any interest just let me know.
