New Brewer in Saint John area.
Hello,
I've been brewing for about half a year now and I'm looking to form or join a local Homebrew club where we could meet once a month to exchange beers. I'm in the Saint John area.
Thanks,
Richard

Welcome aboard!
There are a great group of SJ-area brewers on here and Facebook. Their name there is the Fundy Area Brewers (https://ww.facebook.com/FundyAreaBrewers" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). They get together about monthly to share homebrew and other great beer, and would love another member! I'm sure they'll post up here any minute now.

Re: New Brewer in Saint John area.
Great to hear from some of you.
If there are any events coming up in the Saint John area I have an "all grain" oktoberfest style lager just about ready and a cream ale "extract kit". I also have an "all grain" Pale Ale ready in a couple weeks.
Ingredients Pale Ale:
8 lbs 8.0 oz Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 1 86.4 %
1 lbs Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM) Grain 2 10.2 %
5.3 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 80L (80.0 SRM) Grain 3 3.4 %
1.00 oz Northern Brewer [8.50 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 4 28.6 IBUs
1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] - Boil 5.0 min Hop 5 3.7 IBUs
1.00 oz Cascade [5.50 %] - Boil 0.0 min Hop 6 0.0 IBUs
1.0 pkg Safale American (DCL/Fermentis #US-05)
My oktoberfest fest grain bill is a secret. It's an experimental beer. Can't tell anyone just yet.

Re: New Brewer in Saint John area.
Welcome Richard! I'm from Quispamsis myself, and like Chalmers mentioned, we have a local home brewing club here called the Fundy Area Brewers. We try and meet up monthly for home brew tastings and would love to have another member of our local club!

Re: New Brewer in Saint John area.
Thanks for the info.
How do I get on the eMail list or is communication done on Facebook?
...Today I'm brewing a "Vanilla Toffee Sweet Shamrock Stout". It's something I came up with.
