Kevin from Halifax
Hey All! I've been reading the forums for a few days and thought I'd join and introduce myself.
My name is Kevin and I'm a born and raised Haligonian. I've made some beer in the past, a few Festa Brews and a couple partial mashes. Over the last month I've researched and put together an all grain setup. Started my first beer last weekend, an english pale ale. Can't wait to taste the results.
I'm really happy to have found a local group of brewing enthusiasts! I'm sure I'll have many questions down the road, hopefully you guys can help with the answers.
Cheers,
Kevin

Welcome aboard! Maybe see you out at our monthly meeting Tuesday the 14th? It'll be in Clayton Park, close to Home Depot.

Monthly meeting? Sounds interesting. This is open to all forum members? I'll definitely try to make it. Maybe you could PM me the details?

Re: Kevin from Halifax

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
