Hello From Quispamsis

Post by canuck » Wed Mar 07, 2012 12:03 pm

I was directed here by another member (thanks Jeff) and figured I would introduce myself.

I am in the IT industry and work from home full time here in Quispamsis. I also have an automotive detailing business that keeps me busy. But those are just jobs.......brewing and traveling is what I really enjoy. I've been brewing for over twenty years now but only made the switch to all grain last year. It's a very addictive hobby and I have a lot of fun with it.

Anyways, just wanted to say hi and I look forward to participating on the forum. :cheers2:

Cheers,

Shane

That far right tap has been a real PITA but it's fixed now.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

I'm in Sackville NB. We were talking about taking the Sackville Amhurst Area Zymurgists (SAAZ) sub-group up to try a few of Patrice's stuff at the Laundromat. Keep an eye on the SAAZ sub-forum if you want to join us.

I lived in Moncton for a few years, where I was told the proper pronunciation was 'Kiss-Pams-Quiff'

That would be great! I brewed with Patrice back in February at Big Tide, it was a lot of fun!
