Another New Guy
Hey All;
I’ve been browsing the forums over the last month, scrounging for ideas (Thanks for all the help!). I thought it might be time to join in and introduce myself. I brewed a lot in university, but that was 20 years ago (jeez, that long?). Started back into the fun about 6 months ago. Right now I’m just doing stove top extract brews, getting back into the swing of things again. I’m also experimenting with 1gal batches, and plan to start all grain BIAB on a small scale before I move to full scale madness.
Looking forward to great beer.
Chris

Re: Another New Guy

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: Another New Guy
Welcome aboard! You've just missed this month's meeting (assuming you're in the HRM), but there will be another one soon enough. Come on out to try some of our brews, and if you feel up to it, bring along a bottle or two of yours. More inspiration.

Thanks everyone. I'll definitely try to get out to one of the meetings. We'll see if I'll be brave enough to share a bottle of my own at this point.

Welcome. Definitely share your beer. Lots of palates that can provide some feed back and help improve your beer.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Hey Jimmy,
Yep, I'm down on Moody Lake. Does this mean I get a neighborly discount when I order a custom BIAB?
