Best Halifax Beer Store
Heading to Halifax this weekend from PEI and was wondering if anybody can recommend a particular liquor store that has the best/expanded beer selection. Looking to pickup some different varieties for sampling.
Thanks

Or just hit up as many of the breweries as you can
On tap: Hopped Mead, ESB, Schwazbier
Coming up: Altbier
Fermenting: Maibock
Planned: NEIPA, NZ Pils, Oyster Stout

I like Bishop's the best, but it's in a horrible location. Rockhead is my next favourite.

Third/fourth for Bishop's Cellar. Can usually find a parking spot in that lot, and they've got a growler station and nice US and Quebec beers, in addition to the better NS stuff. That and Bayers Lake NSLC (or maybe The Port, haven't been there yet), will net you most packaged stuff in the province, and hit up the breweries for interesting growler-only options. Always more fun to drink at the breweries anyway, right?

Thanks for the suggestions. I managed to get to both Rocked and Bishops Cellar. Was able to pick out a good selection of beers that are not available here on the Island.

BC as in Bishop's Cellar? Where are they located? I haven't been down that street in years.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Nope. Nothing special there whatsoever. Not a beer destination. At least not yet.chalmers wrote:or maybe The Port, haven't been there yet)
