Jean Van Roy of Cantillon has teamed up with Quidi Vidi brewery to revive the long dead Quidi Vidi Kriek, with a Cantillon twist. It will be a real Kriek Lambic aged in old Newfoundland rum 'swish' barrels. The brewing season is over in Brussels due the warming weather, so Van Roy was looking for a colder place to extend his brewing year when he read about Quidi Vidi online.
The new beer will bottled under the name "Up Swish Kriek".
