The go for a beer thread

Post by RubberToe » Thu Feb 11, 2016 5:17 pm

I figure every new beer bar or pub doesn't need its own thread. Post here if you want to go out for a beer with your fellow Brewnosers!

There's a new pub in Dartmouth called The Millstone Public House, on Baker Dr. They carry Unfiltered too. Also have bacon wrapped ABTs. I'm planning on checking them out soon as it's near my hood.

I'm thinking happy hour is a good idea. Yes, they have one - 4 - 6:30. Who's in?

I went by after work yesterday but didn't go in. There was a line up and I didn't feel like waiting just for a quick beer. Tim and I are heading over today a bit after 1.

Had the kids. Went for wings with them. Dave's to get some fittings for the new counterflow chiller, then home for a couple pints.

Kieths beer is coming on tap at good robot either later tonight or tomorrow depending on when the previous communibrew runs out.

Never even heard of a white stout before but now I want one.

It didn't turn out as I wanted. Was an experimental beer that needs some work. After tasting the beer it really dried out and is more like a 8.3% coconut Pale Ale. I had a couple last night.

I popped in Friday evening and they still had it, but said it was moving very fast. Very interesting beer, lots going on. I found it a tad sweet for me, but quite nice for the ABV.

Yea the sweetness is from the lactose. Definitely some adjustments. After tasting the beer I know where they are at. Mash temp, no lactose, more vanilla, and nibs into the boil.

I'm heading down to Battery Park for an Ace burger and a beer or two (North Brewing takeover on the patio I think). Someone should come join me!

I'm long gone! I didn't stay long, just for one beer. Maybe a "bike" ride soon.
