It's been some time since I've been to a meeting but as you guys are such a friendly bunch of drunks/beer geeks, and have been so kind as to share spoils of your travels, I tried to bring back some interesting bottles to share at upcoming meetings. I think the selection may pique a few individuals interests.

Barring some well aged-cider I haven't been touching, I'm all out of my regular stock of homebrew and it's killing me having these in my fridge.

I completed my PhD candidacy exam earlier today and it is killing me having these in the fridge.

I guess I've waited this long to share so Premiere W&S will be getting a bit of my coin on the way home instead....

Although, I know where there's a good Christmas party this Saturday night. Free food, beer, wine, spirits...and all it will cost is that bottle of Supplication.

I was considering holding on to the Supplication for some aging, although I suppose it's already has 12-15 months at bottling. I was also going to ask if you'd like the dregs for one one of your own sour projects. In exchange for a 1 bottle sample of course. I'm not sure if there's anything special about RR's bugs that Wyeast can't provide.

I've compensated my celebratory needs this evening with a Charlevoix La Vache Folle (Imperial milk stout, 9% abv) and a Lagunitas Lucky 13. I REALLY like the Charlevoix, and would recommend it, although I found it more heavily carbonated than expected.

Lagunitas brew is a stark contrast, 1.085 O.G., 77 IBU "Mondo Large Red Ale". First few sips seemed unbalanced, almost sickly sweet, after the stout. It's growing me quickly though, and I'd recommend it for a tasting, but at $10/650ml at Premiere I probably won't pick it up again. It reminds me of Bear Republic's Hop Rod Rye. This is a good thing.

Now off to to my band rehearsal. My keys skills should be fine, but I pity my friends for the trumpet parts...

I am very interested in the dregs. I'll bet there's stuff in there that isn't easy to replicate through wYeast.
