Wow... town of 1000 with a 10 bbl brewery. I guess selling it in and around Lunenburg county will move some volume.

It's friggin nuts around town in the summer time too with tourists. Might help some. Plus look at how many other breweries are much large than the immediate population would indicate (pretty much every brewery outside of HRM with a few exceptions).

The location I heard is same building as plovers/lahave bakery (used to be a furniture shop in there I think, it's been other things since). Seems like way too small a space to contain a brewery of that size. But maybe not! I dunno.

They are building a 10 BBL brewhouse and intend to sell kegs, growlers, grunters and bottles. Building at a former service station at 363 Main Street, they are splitting the two bays with one side being the brewhouse and the other a taproom for people to socialize. The front corner will have a retail space where they will sell growlers and merchandise, including kegs for parties.

There was an antiques shop in there for a few years. It was called the Eclectic Garage.

Ah - that's not the same spot I was thinking of. Not sure what my mom's info source was. I did notice some activity going on there last week walking around town with my dad. I'll have to go take a closer look next week when I'm home again.

Perhaps this means someone will finally brew Lunenburg Pale Ale for real.

They're moving along. I stopped by the other day and talked with Patrick, one of the owners. I'm going by again this Friday and will check in to see how they're coming along.

They took delivery of their silo this week, I imagine things are still on schedule for the summer.

I walked by about a week ago and no signs of any brewing equipment other than the silo, a pilot system, and interior still very much under construction. I would be surprised to see them open before the fall, but could be wrong.

I am guessing those were on their pilot system. And I have a feeling they may be launching with that, and fill in the blanks later? Purely a guess, I have no inside knowledge.

Yes I would say have to be on the pilot system.... I physically peered in the window so I'm not getting my info second hand! There wasn't even a sign of a store front yet, so I'm guessing those pilot batches are probably for events etc.

I drove by there yesterday, definitely looks like they have some work left to do.

Yup there over the weekend, down to the studs inside grain silo outside. Neat building but it's going to be tight with a 10bbl system in there plus a tap room.

Was also there that weekend, and I agree, it's going to be tight, but doable.

Folks who signed up for their Pioneer Club are having a tasting this week, with the rest of us schlubs having to wait a bit longer. ~50L Pilot batches.
