Hey all,
I moved to Halifax recently and I am looking for other BJCP/interested people who might be into working on their sensory skills in a relaxed, low stakes group setting (do some blind judging/write some score sheets/maybe even run an off flavors seminar???). If something along these lines already exists I would love to join in, and if it doesn't exist yet lets make this happen.

There isn't really anything like this happening at the moment. We hold the monthly meeting on the second Tuesday of each month, but those are generally more about enjoying the beer, hanging out, and getting some feedback if you want.Taylor Vanbrewer wrote:Hey all,

If you're looking to organize something like this, I'm sure you'll see lots of interest. We also used to hold "alternative tasting" nights, where someone would host a meeting outside of the regular monthly meeting.
Personally, I'm all for more meetings

Sounds good to me, too! My schedule for the next month is a wreck, so it's best I don't organize, but if you're OK with taking the lead, we could probably get a pile of judges (and people interested in judging, and others) interested. There are about 15 of us BJCP judges in the region, by the way.
As you are new to region, I want to be sure you know that we've been asked to assist with the upcoming ACBAs. If you haven't received the invite, lemme know.
