Official Unfiltered Brewing Info Thread
I figured Unfiltered would eventually warrant its own thread, so I'm starting it now

Re: Unfiltered Brewing
I didn't realize that was where this is going. What a wonderful location. I don't think I have ever been excited about the opening of a brewery.

Re: Unfiltered Brewing
I can't imagine Greg is going to allow the sale of a 1 litre growler. Even 2 litre seems out there, but I figure that's a rounding error.

Re: Unfiltered Brewing
I will reserve my judgement until I try the beer
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Re: Unfiltered Brewing
Ha ha ha! Good stuff.
Construction has been going hard for quite a while now so it's starting to get exciting.
Our brewing system is being 100% manufactured in PEI and it's a highly customized build to fit in our little space. I've spec'd thicker stainless, larger jackets for heating and cooling, pressed domes instead of welded, heavier manways, shortened legs, heavily customised kettle to handle stunning amounts of hops, a crazy custom oversized mashtun and the list goes on and on. I absolutely cannot wait to make beer on this motherfucker!!!
Also bought very powerful and efficient upright vertical tubeless boiler, giant glycol chiller, huge silo going in the front yard, polyurethane sloped floors, drains, walls and ceiling. The whole place is seamless, waterproof, antimicrobial and chemicalproof, basically bulletproof!!
Can't wait to make beer in a brewery built my way I tells ya.

Re: Unfiltered Brewing
That's awesome to have that much control over your brewing, almost as good as being a homebrewer

Re: Unfiltered Brewing
It's a 4 minute walk to the Pizza place right next door, but I expect it will be a 3 minute walk for beer.

Don't forget the label has to tell you it's cold enough to drink.
