Synek - fresh draft beer on your counter?

Several friends of mine have come across this new Kickstarter and have been asking me about it:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/16 ... ur-counter.
Looks like a decent way to keep draft beer fresher longer than growlers, but I'm not sure if it would be legal in Nova Scotia to get them filled? The cartridges hold 128oz, so in their FAQ they just state: "Simply ask them to fill and charge for two growler’s (128 fl oz) worth." Sounds simple enough, but I'm guessing there's extra legalities involved.
Anyone know the answer? I'm not looking to get it myself, but I have a couple of friends that are ready to pull the trigger if they can get confirmation that they can actually use it here

Maybe we need Keith to make another mass email to the NS breweries to see what they think.
Looks like they'd need to adapter to make a fill possible, but if you get one with your system, that wouldn't be bad.

Looks cool, but I'm guessing the bags are not reusable...?
I've never had a growler sit long enough to go bad, so I doubt the $300 cost of the cooling/draft unit is worth it to me
JMHO... YMMV

It's certainly aimed more at the casual/occasional drinker. Nice for people who would like to get some beer from their local brewpub to take home, but wouldn't drink it all in 2 days (esp 128oz worth).
Dave surmises that you might have to fill it yourself at home, after filling up 2 separate growlers - I would imagine that would be messy and knock out a not insignificant amount of carbonation...

Ah 128 oz is a little different, but still only 8 pints... is it bad that it still wouldn't last me all that long?

My suggestion is to fill it with rum and coke. Cold, carbed, pre-mixed deliciousness!

Hello, Steve from SYNEK here. We are really interested in the legality of SYNEK in Canada because you have some amazing breweries. Some Canadian breweries are 100% on board while others are trying to find ways to make it happen. Please keep me up to speed on what you find, here is my personal email:

Our whole goal is to help craft breweries share their beer in the best form possible! Thanks for your support.

Are the bags reusable?
