South Shore Micro-Brewery

Post by James » Tue May 20, 2014 12:40 pm

Has anyone heard of this?

On the web page for Petite Rivier Winery a micro-brew is mentioned on thier how to find us "Visit" page, they say it is on HWY 331 near the Cherry Hill Fire Dept across the road from Conrad's Road. I assume they mean Henry Conrad Rd as their is no fire hall near Conrad Rd. A conversation yesterday with Dave and BBrianBoogie got me thinking about this place...it seems not many people have heard about this place. Perhaps an old reference or the pre-cursor to Hell Bay Brewing? The actual place Hell Bay is quite literally a stone's throw away.

...and, anyone who has been to Meander River last weekend, was anyone able to buy beer...before they RAN OUT!

HP Hunter and I got a couple 1litre bottles of Meander River Lunch Pale Ale. I think we were there at about 10:30AM. I'm not surprised they ran out only having one brite tank of that one beer. There was a lineup and some people leaving with 10+ bottles.
Tap 1: Little Pup Pale Ale
Tap 2: Orange Ya Glad I Said Light Beer?
Tap 3: Roof Top Rye-It
Tap 4: Straberry Vanilla Wine Soda
Tap 5: Big Brown Roof Hound

If we can get a DD, we could do a brewery crawl.

My oldest only has his beginners.

That's probably Hell Bay's original location which was in Cherry Hill. Article from back when they started out as Rusty Anchor:

Let's rent a bus and hire a driver. Cost per person should be pretty low if the numbers are there.

I'm quite certain Bobby is correct and this isn't a new brewery at all.
