New pub for Truro - Nook and Cranny
Sounds like could become a decent spot to get some local brew. Always thought that pub could be improved with a facelift and better beer selection. And it's stumbling distance!

Not many places to get Craft beer in Truro. I'd like to see some better options for sure. I"ll join you for a few pints Pete.

They above link just goes to a sign in screen. I found the following link.

20 craft beer on tap in Truro is impressive. I know they can't keep Uncle Leo's Smoked Porter on Tap at the Split Crow for long.

I've always said that if I opened a brew pub it'd be in Truro. Good spot at a crossroads of the province

Tap 2:
"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

Yeah there's a void here. Surprising really, given the current pace of new openings. There are a number of suitable buildings, depending on one's goal i.e. brewery, brewpub etc. I did hear a rumour about the old Walkers building, but not sure of the quality of that lead...
Someone from here, with connections to the local clique could do quite well I think, especially if they were the first ones in.

I agree there is a void but Truro is a unique town with a high retirement population and set in its ways. One thing that drives me nuts Is people line up to get in Frank and Gino's to load up on carbs but a place like Bistro 22 where the food is high quality doesn't seem as busy. I question if the community would support it. On another note if they make great beer people will come.
