The 2014 ALES Competition deadline is coming up soon. Get your entries in now to get valuable feedback on your beers and meads. The Ales Open has proven to be one of the best run annual events in Canada. Hey it only costs a few bucks and trained people will let you know if you should quit your day job or not to brew.

We do not get to sponsor all the events, but when we do we like to put a little effort into it. Proud to announce we have worked with ALES and even a no skill Joe has a chance to win a special event. The OBK sponsored Special for "best named" brew will win a 7 Gallon Chronical.

In addition to that we have stepped up our game to include prizes every other special award. We are shipping off FOUR Blichmann 20 Gallon kettles to be awarded as specials on:

We have loads of Brewnoser judges now, and there’s a good chance (so I hear) that there will be a Brewnosers’ competition in the future.

So far it looks like the prizes for the Brewnoser comp. will be thongs and banana hammocks with the Brewnoser emblem on them …surplus from Chalmers’ and Becky’s bulk order.
