Nova Scotia Stout?

There is a beer called Nova Scotia Stout being brewed in Germany by some sort of contract brewer. I don't seem to understand why they refer to our province with this. Anyone know about it?

I somehow overlooked the reference to this in my copy of Beers of the World until now.

That's one of the few places I've seen that beer in print. Don't know much else about it.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

At least they could have made it a good beer if they named it after us!

My wife thinks she's heard if this. She thinks the brewers might be nova scotian.

Yeah. That's the one where Beers of the World mentions this stout in its description.

See this one as well:

They either had some agreement with the old Queen Molly pub (what Rudder's used to be) to use the name, or they just slapped the name on it. Perhaps Randy Lawrence would know from his time at Rudder's?

good grief!

I never thought a beer named after Nova Scotia would score a 0 on the Brewnoser scale :x
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

When I worked for them in '97, one of the owners of Queen Molly was a German gal, Annetta. Maybe she sold the recipes, or is brewing them over there
