Beer on TV

Post by LiverDance » Wed Oct 27, 2010 4:34 pm

For those of you who are interested:

http://beernews.org/2010/10/brew-master ... -november/
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Series premier tonight.

Edit: Looks like it is only airing on the american discovery. There was an ad for it on last night on discovery Canada. Oh well, looks like I will be getting it elsewhere.

I've watched the first 2 episodes and I really like it. It basically follows Sam on his quest to make a new brew each episode. This weeks episode was interesting, they made a beer out of corn that was chewed and soaked in human spit.. :mmm:

I've watched the first 3. A bit of a DFH infomercial, but then again, I like their beer and didn't expect much else.

I've enjoyed them. Besides, how many show about beer are there on TV :D
