Hey guys, in case you missed the info, the Belgian Beer Fest has been rolled into one day of both Saisons and Lambics this Sunday. Doors open at 1pm, but there are a few tickets available for an earlier seating at 11am. I am a dummy and managed to buy double what I was supposed to, so lemme know if you'd like one. $19 guarantees you a spot and a seat, and first pours of the in-short-supply beers (Westy 12, anyone?).

I'd be more inclined to get an early ticket if I didn't have a bottle of Westy 12 stashed away. Curious to see what it will go for. I think I paid 12 Euro. Or maybe it was 20. Didn't seem important at the time.

The (limited amount!) of Westy 12 we have will be $20. Pretty proud of that price actually; I paid $45 at Bellwoods when I tried my first bottle!

That's a ̶g̶r̶e̶a̶t̶ terrible price. Nobody should buy any, until at least 1:30.

This is why we love you guys. Not playing shitty games, not using shitty tactics, not getting rich off your fellow beer fans and nerds.

I'm stoked for someone to complain about that price. "You know we make more on a glass of Propeller pils, right?" Ha ha ha

I paid $140 (I think) for a 6 pack, if this is the beer I think it is. Worth the price.

At that price I'm sure all will be gone before 1. Oh well, there's lots of taps to be had.

Thanks Chris, Laura and Andy for a fun weekend. Looking forward to next year (or next week, which is when I'll likely be back).

Heads up to those interested: We're releasing SPORT (4.7% barrel-aged farmhouse ale with lime zest & salt) at the brewery this Sunday, noon-4 pm. Aiming for a sell-out (as we did with the last beer). We'll be doing another couple releases the following two Sundays. Don't miss out if you're into farmhouse/saison!

Not quite—four cases left, which we'll roll over to this week's bottle sale on Sunday.

Is there anything going on at Stillwell on New Year's Eve? I was thinking about dropping by in between dinner and show elsewhere and wondering if there's a ticket-only event there that would prevent that.

Cheers.

Based on memory of previous years and today's social media posts talking about last pints of 2017, Stilly is closed on NYE and opens at noon on New Year's Day for their annual levée. So it looks like you're finding another place to grab a beer tomorrow night!

Tried the Saazbier last night. Really nice! It's great to see some beers that are more in line with what I enjoy coming out of Halifax

I got to try a few of these the last time I visited NS (a good friend of mine doesn't mind picking up releases and holding onto them in his fridge until the next time I visit, lol) and they were great. Big fan of Saazbier in particular of the ones I tried.

Beers like Saazbier are exactly the sort of goals I hope to achieve at my own shop on the other side of the country.
