Bring on the sour's :rockin:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

So long as it's by design....
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Who has tried their beer? What's available and what do you suggest?

I'm in town for a couple days and will likely pick something up.

According to the Grimross Facebook page they likely have a Farmhouse Stout (Destrier Stout) and a Belgian Pale Ale (Ben's Bitter Pale Ale) available.

The new Belgian Blonde is supposed to be available any day now, if it's not already. They all are going really fast, though.

P.S. If I can make it to Hoptoberfest, and anyone wants me to pick up a growler of what's available, let me know.

Are they bottling anything? Don't really need another growler.

I had their Farmhouse Stout at Brewers Bash and had a bottle of their Ben's Bitter Pale Ale yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed the Farmhouse Stout. Their Belgian Pale ale was pretty good too, but I'm not too partial on that style so I'll let someone else comment on that one.

No bottles. They use the 750 mL "growlers" and nothing else at the moment. Still no kegs anywhere in the city, so I can't imagine bottling is something that'll happen in the near future.

The Ben's Bitter Pale was pretty good; actually, so far my favorite of the 3. The carbonation was more on-par, and while maybe a bit too floral, the bottle I had was pretty good, and actually quite bitter.

Are the bottles printed? I wouldn't mind one like that. Otherwise, I'm pretty tired of collecting bottles...

Yeah, there's the logo and a brief "story" about the brewery on the back, etched on each bottle. It's been $11 for each beer, $5.50 for refills.

I'll take one of those if you're coming down. Prefer the stout, but apparently I'll drink anything. :-)

Sure, when I know, I'll let you know. I work very close to the Brewtique; I could let you know what's available the day before.

Same here. Good to know about the $5.50 refills.

Cool, thanks for letting me know.

Looks like my chances of making it to Hoptoberfest now are slim at best anyway.

I'll be passing through Fredericton tomorrow evening. Does anyone know if they currently have any bottles for sale at the brewtique?
