Hi, any one have a good formula for laggering beer? Days cold and how much rest time?I was laggering outside through the winter but have just invested in a fridge to hold my carboy and lagger over the summer. Up to now I have just been keeping it from freezing outside with a heat belt but figure I can be more precise now.
I use 2 packs of the saflager 23 and tend to do pilsners.
Thanks

I tend to use the Brulosophy lager method:

Its worked great on a Marzen and Pilsner I brewed, but of course temp control is ideal to this method which you have.

I would suggest installing an Inkbird controller that’s capable of cooling and heating...either go with a plug and play or one inside the fridge...it’ll give you the control and precision you’ll need for lagering. Check Amazon for Inkbird as you can get a pretty good Brewnoser discount from them...

Hi,
I made the fridge using a chest freezer and a temperature controller. It has a digital read out and cuts the power in and out to maintain the temperature. Is this similar to what you are suggesting or is there actual units that heat and cool.
Thanks,
