I see that Ms. Tempa was helping with the formulation (e.g. more hops). I'm sure she will be camping on the door overnight on September 1 for something better to drink around the corner. :mebeer:

Great job of spreading the love of great beer.

Does that mean you could bring us back some growlers of the beer? I'd like to grab one or two of them.

any idea if they're willing to fill 'other labeled' growlers? or does it have to be their own?

Would be great if I could do the same. I could likely drop it off to Andy if everyone's good with that. :spilly:

Could I get in on that too? I would love to try some and it would be easy for me to drop some cash off in Amhurst.

Hey it's fine by me, anyone that wants a jug or 2 is gonna have to post up so we can get a head... errrr... jug count. I'm also bringing back a couple kegs for myself so I'm starting to think maybe I should stop by the Pump House on the way by to borrow the big beer truck :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'd say a jug would be good for a few day's and he'll ya I'm in for one too; Greg you know where to find me. I do have a question though, the lbs/bbl, is that dry weight? Gotta ask, as a hop grower ya know? Killer man I worked on the big tide project and installed it so also would love to hear feedback on what you think of the setup. If yer going to create hop messes like that in their system tough we should have at least put a high draw off in the kettle/whirl? Lol.
Cheers

Yeah that's dried weight, you know.... I like to cover up all the flaws in my beer with hops!! Works like a charm :lol:
Like in this beer for example: http://hartandthistle.blogspot.com/2011 ... -dipa.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sooooo you're the guy I have to blame for that god damned system setup? :lol: :lol: Honestly it's a nice system and a decent setup but I have a couple issues with it. The mash-tun manway - a little round manway on a manual stir tun? The only way to fly is a shoe-box manway to give a fella a bit of room and leverage to stir, and.... the height of the catwalk is completely insufficient, it should have been raised at least 18", when I am on the catwalk looking at the tun the manway lip is about chin level on me making hard to see in there let alone dump bags of malt in and stir the mash, well there's basically no stirring - it can't be done, it's just awful, even with the booster step :lol: other than those issues it's a beautiful little system. The new tun floor design is insanely efficient and the electric kettle is wonderful, everything else is bang-on too. A donkey-cock (racking arm) setup or something would be nice for hop-bombs but it wasn't too bad with the 3" outlet on the side :cheers2:

Growlers will definitely be good for a few days, I wouldn't recommend any longer than 4 days or so really, being a tap pour there'll be a little O2 pick-up and perhaps minute quantities of bacterial contaminates.

Lol. Open for the discussions on the big tide designs but hey, never discussed you'd be on board trying to push it beyond it's limitations :) . Can't wait for ya to try some the best PEI IPA's, remember I learned from the best.
