I put a special order in last week and I can't wait to get it in.

Once the order comes in I am going to split all the beer up into 10 mixed 24 packs and each person will take away a sampler

Oh and we are all going to get together and sample the haul the night it come in of course.

I have had so much interest in doing this on a regular basis I started up a group "The Saint John Beer Club" for people that want to join in on the ordering. This order was all IPAs for the next one I'm certainly going to go with more variety!

Saw the new ANBL flyer in my inbox this morning. Of note, Dominus Vobiscum Lupulus, $11.80 for 750ml.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

I picked some up in Moncton (1855 Mountain Road) today. Also heard we should keep our eyes open for some Amsterdam stuff.

Picked up a Lake of Bays Old North Mocha Porter at the Regis Street location in Dieppe yesterday, really enjoyed it, but relatively pricey at $9.99 per 750ml bottle. Still no sign of the Dominus Vobiscum Lupulus advertised in the flyer yet.

The cashier was saying that he tried the Mocha Porter and loved it, and was enthusiastic about pointing out new craft brews to customers. Red Racer flew off the shelves. And it looks like the Amsterdam stuff sold pretty well...I hope this bodes well for ANBL continuing to seemingly bring in something new pretty much every other week.

Really enjoyed the Lake of Bays Old North Mocha Porter, and so did my girlfriend.
Church Key Holy Smoke now available in some NB Liquor stores. Tried it last year at the Brewer's Bash in F'ton and absolutely loved it.

So I checked the product listing PDF this morning, since products get listed there before they hit stores. I noticed four beers from Le Trou du Diable are now listed - La Buteuse, MacTavish, Saison du Tracteur, and Sang D'Encre. I've had all of these before and they are definitely worth picking up.

I wish some of these products would make their way to the Sackville ANBL. Perhaps after their renovations are completed and they move back from their temporary location we'll start to see some trickle in.

Maybe if we ask for them specifically, knowing that at last part of that order will sell, they'll order some in for us. Last time I asked about beer X in Moncton but not Sackville their answer had something to do with getting the leftovers after the big stores. That, and Sackville store is probably the biggest mover of Bud Light in NB.

Jeff most of these brews are hitting the Saint John area. I can always get you something and hold it for you.

Thanks for the offer, appreciate it. Most of them hit Moncton as well, just takes a bit more of a drive than cruising over the birder to Sackville. I'll just have to plan my trips to Moncton a bit more strategically.

Sweet! I don't see it when I look, but I'm probably doing something wrong.

I don't know why, but I glance at the product pricing PDF once a week or so and just scan it for items marked "N" for new at the left hand side of the page.

Nothing else new of note except it looks like they are transitioning St. Ambroise Pale Ale from bottles of 6-packs to 473ml cans ($3.30). I haven't seen the bottles in a while and I was hoping this wasn't gone for good...it's one of my fridge staples, especially for guests. I might be in the minority, but I like this....I prefer a proper pint serving, prefer buying variety rather than 6-packs, and the price per volume is still about the same.

I noticed the April flyer in my inbox today, odd to start advertising the Trou du Diable stuff at this point, when it's already getting pretty scarce on the shelves.

Interesting survey attached to the flyer e-mail, all about beer....mostly asking questions about craft beer. Also of note, some questions about buying 24-packs, and if there would be interest in mixing and matching two 12-packs at a similar total discount to buying a 24. Not relevant for craft drinkers, but interesting nonetheless.

That's awesome if we get some Chimay at ANBL. I might pop open a Blue tonight....

Super impressed with the special beers being brought in these days.

Noticed a couple of new listings today:

Hop City HopBot IPA - 6-pack, $13.99
Iron Maiden Trooper - 500ml, $4.99
Innis & Gunn Lager - 500ml, $3.99

Nothing too interesting and a little pricey for what they are, but I'm sure I'll try all three. I bet the Trooper sells out pretty quick.

I skim the Product Price List weekly, it can be found here:

http://www.nbliquor.com/products.html

Usually anything new listed here will show up in stores by the middle of the next week....Wednesday seems to be the day new products normally hit the shelves.

Sorry, I by online I should have mentioned I couldn't find it by the "Product Search", from the top of the page.

This page, New Products, looks to be the best resource for, well, new products, that are actually on the shelf.

The corresponding search for the NSLC (http://www.mynslc.com/Pages/advancedSea ... ducts=True" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) brings up Molson Canadian 67 Tangerine, can't believe I've missed that!

Haha, yeah, I am usually checking for things that will be coming soon....hopefully nobody went to ANBL today hoping to buy a sixer of HopBot!
