I'll see how the evening goes here, may not have to work tomorrow night.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Jesus that firkin emptied fast. I think it was only a couple minutes after you left Greg that they carried it back empty.
Alicia wanted a picture of her defeating the firkin but the folks seemed pretty busy.
Left you a slice of cake.

Out of curiosity, what happened to all of those spruce tips we picked this summer?

They're in the freezer as I await different recipe samples from Jayme. Tried one to date, I thought it was decent.....TJ Brew wrote:Out of curiosity, what happened to all of those spruce tips we picked this summer?

For anyone looking for the off-topic discussion that was happening in this topic, I moved it to site discussion. I'd rather keep it in its own thread and out of the Rockbottom one.

Sandy, I had no problem using the wifi at RB on saturday. I sat at the bar, tried to connect to " rockbottom" it timed out, tried a few times before realizing that there is actually 2 wifi broadcasts at RB. The one that worked was "rockbottombrewpub" (or something like that" either way, the pass key is " rockbottom" I suppose that the other wifi is for managementGAM wrote:Does teh RB have wi-fi yet?

I'm pretty sure there's a Bell Aliant hotspot there. If your buddy has Bell internet at home he should be able to access it.Dirt Chicken wrote:Sandy, I had no problem using the wifi at RB on saturday. Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
sure there is always a bell hotspot, but it's useless for those of us the don't have Bell. so there is free wifi for anybody regardless of provider at the bottom is what I'm trying to say

Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
Was down last night to try the SOB and Balticus. I really enjoyed the SOB, definitely a session beer as Nash has labelled it. Definitely looking forward to getting down to try Jacktar stout now that it is on CO2. Nash says it is even better than what it was on Nitrogen.
Keep the great beers coming Nash!

Anyone heading down to try out the Firkin today? I assume they are still doing them on Saturdays.

Re: Official Rockbottom Brewpub Thread
I was thinking about it, hopefully the plans work out. I was thinking of going down around 1.TJ Brew wrote:Anyone heading down to try out the Firkin today? I assume they are still doing them on Saturdays.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.
