I made them with APA and vinegar 50/50. Hop oil, smoked paprika, chillies, peppercorns, mustard seeds, dill, sea salt and garlic. It was my first crack so I'm reformulating and will post the recipe after the tweaks.

What's this obsession with sea salt about? Isn't road salt good enough any more?

What the fuck are you going on about? Who the fuck has an obsession with it?

FYI I use Himalayan and other sea salts for their flavour profiles and as a side bonus, mineral content. I have no interest in eating iodized flavourless bullshit.

Road salt doesn't have iodine, but it does have lots of other minerals, especially if you sweep it up after use.

Himalayan sea salt? That's about as believable as Saskatchewan seal skin.

I was just given some African salt. Supposedly from an underground dried out sea.

Nice taste, I'll have to do some more research.

That's where salt usually comes from. Think Pugwash.

They made more of a story of this. I don't have the box with me and my home PC is F'ed.

It's pink due to the high iron content but I wonder if it produces a noticeable impact on your taste buds or your iron count.

Anyone going to be there Saturday before hoptoberfest? Some of the SAAZ guys and company were thinking of hitting up RB for lunch (and maybe a taste of the firkin)

And you're worried about citronella candles ruining taste buds... you'll be drunk before even showing up to the party!

Any idea what time you guys might arrive? I have a squash game before the fest, but might stop in for a pint on my way to the game.

You won't be needing much lunch judging by the list of food I'm seeing.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Thinking somewhere between noon and 1pm. I'm hoping anyway. All depends on what time I get away from Amherst that morning.

 I can handle beer, its the chemicals that drive my senses nuts.

And yes, I may be a little tipsy Saturday but the mountain of food should help keep that under control. I have been looking forward to this for some time now. Are you telling me your not planing on consuming??

Here is the order of my plan: :spilly: :grilling: :headbang: :bbq: X) :drunk:

Fair enough, though isn't citronella 'natural'? I guess there has to be some chemical dye invloved though.

And no, I am not telling you I won't be consuming. I think the photos from fruitfest illustrate my typical level of drunkeness as such events haha.

Hasukappu Weisse and the Basil Weizen are now on tap. The Saison harvest is sold out until next week sometime - in the midst of swapping out all the bright beer tanks! :cheers2:
