^ I've got one of those in the fridge as well but haven't tried it yet. Chris and I had their Hop Wired IPA and it was also extremely good.

I'm having a Goblin with my new Brewnosers glass... thanks Chris..
I might even open the Garrison Baltic Porter to finish the night with that Frank dropped off to me with the glass and the bottle of Cantillon Gueuze.. again thanks Chris.
I owe you a meal of moose when you show up around these parts again.

Couple of westys and chimays to celebrate a b'day! I find the two to be basically the same, with the chimay being a lighter one. I like the westy better, but for the price and availability...

Peak Organic Hop Noir... not bad. A bit of astringency from the high bitterness and dark grains.

I don't know about that. Frank McDonald probably has a good spread himself.

Today, La Fin Du Monde of course :jerry:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

had the IPA sampler at Bier Markt in toronto. despite asking twice, they never got me the beer menu. food was decent, but very poorly timed. one at the table got his to go since they brought it after everyone else was finished. could have been terrific, but was not.

Samuel Adams Longshot Old Ben Ale... I think I've had this beer for about 2 years or so, and kind of forgot that I did. Anyway, the cellaring time has resulted in a pretty smooth beer for 9%.
