I had the stuffed chicken. It was bland and dry.

Ipa was not all that great. Clean but not up to the par of other ipas. Notice flavour or aroma.

The Gold was the only drinkable beer when I was there in July.

yes i agree. the gold was pretty malty, a bit too malty i thought. although the stout wasnt too bad eother.

all the beers seemed to have very little or no flavour. the red was bland and didnt have the malt or roast i like in a red. nor was it a red color. it was a light amber. weird.

the ESB was overly fruity for my liking. not enough malt. i guess ive been spoiled by propellers ESB. the stout was pretty good, but average. i was pretty unimpressed with the staff. i sat at the bar for the entire time and watched them consistently underpour drinks. many of the 20 oz drinks had an inch from the top of the glass. they didnt clean the bar very often which left a lot of fruit flies around. i did like the atmosphere, it is a nice bar. slightly elegant with an industrial twist.

i wont be too quick to return there anytime soon, especially after trying out BDT.

Haha. This is what sitting in a government lab all day does to a guy on the road.

I got a nice selection of Muskoka beers from Ontario from a buddy of mine. I'm drinking the Cream Ale now. Almost identical to Festa Brew's Cream Ale.
Nova Prime Taproom
Tap 1: Festa Brew Scotch Ale
Tap 2:
"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

how is it? i've never liked their main brews, but it is a yeast thing, so maybe their saison would be alright...

Haven't tried it yet. I haven't tried many saisons so I'm probably not good to judge it.

Now I see what all the fuss was about....its not simply a beer.
I like the idea behind the smaller glasses as well...at first I thought WTF?? only 1/2 a beer at a time? It makes you savor it more lol
Is it worth $100? As a beer, no. As a once in a lifetime experience, most friggin definitely!
