Celebrated Stout Day with a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout... followed by my homebrew clone of Kern River Brewing's Citra DIPA, and then a Cantillon Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio. Random, but tasty!

Spiced beer with bitter orange and star anise. Different and tasty. Bottles are overprimed :o but makes for a surprise in every bottle
On Tap "in bottles": winter beer (spiced beer, nutmeg, cinnamon, star anise, ginger, cloves)
In Secondary:
In Primary: winter beer (spiced beer, nutmeg, cinnamon, star anise, ginger, cloves)

Apple Crisp Ale. Turned out good - very subtle on the apple and cinnamon. Its been chilling for almost two weeks and chill haze is pretty much gone.

I tried a Rickards OakHouse for the first time tonight........thought it was a rather dismal winter lager. A slight vanilla taste with what I would describe as a "fake" taste of oakiness. It just struck me as a beer that was trying too hard and I didn't care for it whatsoever.

What kind of brewery has an IPA as a seasonal?
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Last year's winter warmer while I brew up this year's version. Then I'm bottling a pale ale, so some samples from that too.

The Manx is one of the best pubs in Ottawa! Chez Lucien in the market is a good spot too. Good burgers.
