Tim, what time are you planning on heading down? Anyone else heading down for the firkin today? I'm thinking about heading down for a beer or two..if my back starts feeling any better. I can barely move right now :x

Had the espresso IPA at supper time, excellent beer. Great Firkin Greg :cheers3:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Anyone going this weekend?
First weekend in a while I can be there, and first weekend in a while I don't see a special firkin or event on the site. :(

Hmm interestingly enough if the date/time stamp from last week says he posted the coffee IPA at 9:30pm on Saturday. Seems like I saw it come through in an e-mail about that time on Friday though. There may still be hope!

I know Nash is out of town this weekend, but that hasn't stopped a firkin in the past.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

It was good to put some more names & faces together. The pints were delicious.

Unsure. Depends if there is a firkin to visit, I believe. Might be a good place to take a break between brewing tomorrow afternoon.

That explains it, then. Hopefully something does happen.

Also checked H&T, but no events going on this weekend there, either.

I'll be around for supper Saturday evening as part of my bachelor party festivities. Can't say I'll be coherent, though.

When you get a better idea let me know! I think we're going to start brewing mid-late afternoon so if it's early afternoon, I'll likely head down for a pint.

For Gavin's birthday we went to the Hart & Thistle for a few before heading to the Rock Bottom - I quickly remembered why I rarely go there anymore. We had to practically fight to get served, had last call at about 10:30, 15min later the lady at the bar (Joe is it?) came out and literally screamed at us to finish our beers and get out! haha. Anyhow, the beer is still good so I'll go wherever!

Well I think you have helped in a way... Were it not for your beer being on tap there, I'd never go there period! I made sure to let them know when I paid that I was not impressed with being scolded haha. I'm sure it did no good, but I felt better!

That sounds like a tasty ass breakfast beer. Can't wait :headbang:
