"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Unfiltered DOA by the camp fire. Had the IPA during the afternoon, it could be an interesting evening.

This is a glass of my very first all grain brew. I've been brewing kits for quite a while now. It was fun but I shagged it up while brewing it. I messed up on the water amounts for sparging and had to add more water later. I also forgot to take gravities. It was an OBK Session IPA but I renamed it "Shagged Up Session IPA" It actually turned out great...I just wish I knew how I did it :D

Chocolate beer is my weakness. I keep trying to make one and it never works. One day, though.

Looking good!

Were you able to get that Spieglau stout glass locally somewhere? None of the places that carry their IPA and tulip glasses (e.g. Paderno, The Bay) seem to have the stout glasses.

I've already got two of the IPA glasses and two of the tulips (love 'em) so I'm not as interested in the taster pack and I've been trying to avoid ordering the stout glasses as they don't qualify for free shipping.

Wa-hey now. I will have to meander over to Cole Harbour and check that out. Thanks!!
