That's a nice set. I'd buy a set of Brewnosers glasses like that.

Pulled a fermenter sample of the robust porter I brewed before I went away for the holidays. It tastes pretty good.

I thought this was worthy of posting:
Today is the day that myself and two other brewnosers (with me being the newbie-est) finally pop our Stillwell cherry. I've been wanted to go for quite a while and finally the stars are lining up today! We will be the three goofs standing out on Barrington well before the door opens!

I'm drinking a bottle of uncle Leo's smoked porter that I go for Christmas. I wasn't expecting to like this, based on other smoked beers I've had, but I'm really liking this. It's smoky, there's no subtleness here.

"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Thanks! I have absolutely no home-brew in the house and my brew rig has actual cobwebs on it. Very sad state. I'll be firing it up this weekend - not sure what I'm making yet though.
