It was Big Strange Brew. What I remember was that all the beer was good.

Camerons logo looks good, I'm going to need some help with mine, now that I've collected some new shiny stuff, I'm hoping to get it legalized this fall.

Recent brewery upgrade. Not sure if I can say where they came from. But I am seriously excited about them.

They are all insulated and jacketed. Except for the tank laying down. And the 55gal blichmann isn't of course.

JeZuz! :limp wrist:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Impressive!

On the note of the schoolhouse brewery, Cam is a good friend... But his beer needs work. I've gone and brewed with him before and tried to give him some tips - for starters, he needs to learn a lot about yeast health, and start taking gravity readings :D I think there is something funky with his water too. I had some of his 'dry hopped' beers, and there was next to no hop character, mostly just soap and.. I don't know what. Anyhow, I hope he can get some things sorted out before he actually goes legit so that it doesn't just flop at the get go.

Not sure what he tried - when I was at the annual Schoolhouse jam there were 6 beers I think. One of the dark beers was quite respectable. The pales had issues - easy enough to fix issues though. Proper pitching rates and some water treatment I think would turn things around entirely.

He only had a dark beer. I had it early in the evening and I don't remember it being bad, but that's all. My point earlier was that after drinking all day I wasn't in a position to judge anything realistically. Just remembering which beers of all those available I had already tried was a challenge.

I tasted it in the early afternoon - it may even have been my first beer of the day (certainly well before the kids opened the tap and drained at least a gallon on the floor!). It was pleasant, malty, short on hops and ... pleasant.

Though, of all the beers I tasted that weekend, SleepyJamie's IBA was the only one that really rocked me. otoh, the rest were all pretty good ... (except one that was way too sweet).
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.

Is that what put you to sleep?

That's what happens when a teacher becomes a brewer. He makes his stuff a bit too kid friendly.

Oops. Was that my saison?

No, I definitely tasted that one before you got there. Ginger something.

And you could be right. It might have been the Schoolhouse that put me to sleep!

Should I list Schoolhouse as a "brewery planned to be opened" in TAPS or not?
