Or just because it's a smaller system and they have smaller margins?

Re: Unofficial Rogues Roost Thread
yeah i figured they would be more expensive based on the size of the establishment and the fact that their system probably doesnt cater to mass amounts of growler filling (yet).NASH wrote:$14 at Rockbottomvgoreham wrote:Same size I think. Re: Unofficial Rogues Roost Thread
It's the "deposit" thing - if they actually call it a deposit, I'd expect them to give me my money back. If they tell you you have to buy a growler, I'm OK with that. I don't have a Garrison growler, but I really don't recall Propeller telling me I was just paying a deposit either - I thought I bought those growlers.NASH wrote: it's not fucking blasphemy, you either rent a jug or buy one

Re: Unofficial Rogues Roost Thread
Once there is enough discussion to warrant a sticky I normally make it a sticky.. I just don't like cluttering up the top of the forums with topics not being used on a regular basis...Stickies are generally something with useful information, or a topic that has discussion on an ongoing basis.KMcK wrote:Maybe if I rename it 'Official' Jimmy will move it to the top with the other two.NASH wrote:BTW there's already an unofficial Rogues thread - http://www.brewnosers.org/forums/viewto ... f=5&t=2045" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If Rogues Roost wants to come on here and contribute to the discussion on a regular basis, they can have their own sticky..

Agreed. Rogues doesn't generate enough traffic to warrant a sticky.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Part of point was that we seem to have forgotten the place. It's one of three brewpubs in town so I'd like the gang to go there more often and generate some traffic.

Hey guys, it's me Jake I work at Rogues.
We will be refunding deposits on growlers at Rogues, just bring 'em in and get your eight bucks. You don't have to clean them; we'll be giving you a fresh one every time, but if you could rinse them out I'd really appreciate it.
As for the cost there's just no way we can match prices with Garrison / Propeller, the scale of their operations is a couple orders of magnitude larger than ours.

In celebration of Angela Merkel's visit to Dalhousie today I'm getting kicked out of my office at 2:00. I have no recourse but to go out for a drink instead and will likely end up at the Roost. Anyone care to join me?

Grabbed a growler of the Saaz (or Sazz as the cap label says) today. Anyone else try this yet?
