We'll have to get a Aleanders/Gahan care package put together for your January meeting.

Guess I should have checked here this morning before I bought 6 at lunchtime. Premier got 5 cases - I think one was already gone and another almost gone already.

Enjoying from my growler right now; Propeller's bottle count was looking pretty low at 5:00 when I picked mine up. Hope everyone could get some.

Since we've got two threads running on this one, I should let everyone know that it appears KMcK found a decent quantity of it for us.
Brewing right now: whatever is going on tap at Stillwell in a few weeks.

Still about 2.5 cases at Premier if anyone is still looking. Assuming the boxes under the open one at the register were still full.

It's fantastic. It needs - yes, Nash, I'm saying it again - NEEDS to be a regular part of somebody's line-up. This isn't a beer that should be a once a year one-off, it should be the new standard for what's regularly available. Hoppy enough to satisfy but not so bitter that it would scare anyone off, and a malt bill that balances and provides lots of nuances to the flavour. Style-wise it kind of defies description - kind of a double red, with some brown ale character, not really double IPA, not English enough to be ESB, nowhere near a barley wine which is my first thought for "Imperial ESB". Best beer I've ever had? No. Not even Nash's best beer. But having this around on a regular basis would change the standard of what craft brewers in Atlantic Canada have to put on the shelves to keep from getting stagnant. Much like when Propeller first bottled their IPA.

I concur with Bobby's comments. If you're not willing to make this a regular somewhere then we'll be forced to open our own brewery and try to produce something similar for the good of mankind.

I got the last growler of it today. $13 for a two litre fill, as opposed to $22.60 for four 500 ml bottles. Do the math. That's quite a difference for different packaging (although the bottles are quite nice). As of 1:30 Bishop's Cellar still had a dozen or so bottles in its fridge.

Interestingly, the folks at Bishop's Cellar said they will ship anywhere in Nova Scotia. That may be of use to the Tantramashers if something new comes out and the beer train isn't headed their way any time soon.

A whole case? Lucky! I bought 6, but need a few more to share with friends in NB and NL. Anyone have any extras I could buy/trade for?

i've got some we can make a deal with
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Perfect. I'll just need to buy a steak to keep the guard dogs at bay, and I can help myself.
