We'll have to get a Aleanders/Gahan care package put together for your January meeting.

Can I get two bottles pretty please? I'm rarely in halifax but will be there on Saturday and want to make sure i try out this beer!

It's fantastic. It needs - yes, Nash, I'm saying it again - NEEDS to be a regular part of somebody's line-up. This isn't a beer that should be a once a year one-off, it should be the new standard for what's regularly available. Hoppy enough to satisfy but not so bitter that it would scare anyone off, and a malt bill that balances and provides lots of nuances to the flavour. Style-wise it kind of defies description - kind of a double red, with some brown ale character, not really double IPA, not English enough to be ESB, nowhere near a barley wine which is my first thought for "Imperial ESB". Best beer I've ever had? No. Not even Nash's best beer. But having this around on a regular basis would change the standard of what craft brewers in Atlantic Canada have to put on the shelves to keep from getting stagnant. Much like when Propeller first bottled their IPA.whisle pig wrote:What's the word on this beer? How is it tasting, I won't get to try it till probally Monday.

Had one last night. Very nice. I expected more of a hop bomb but the ballance was very good.whisle pig wrote:What's the word on this beer? How is it tasting, I won't get to try it till probally Monday.
