Too bad that doesn't extend to Canada...

Although hilarious that somebody actually got paid to come up with a stupid slogan like that, people (in the article) need to calm down. In no way did their marketing team think "oh hey, let's imply that people should get shit-faced off our beer and go rape women!" Plus, removing 'no' from your vocabulary worked out pretty good for Jim Carrey in Yes Man.

gotta disagree with that. pretty much exactly what it implies. if the millions of dollars marketing team couldnt figure that out theyve got other issues

I'm not sure that was the exact intent of the tag line, but I'm not sure how they couldn't see that one coming.

* in its current location (which does indeed suck if you liked the space, which I did).

From the article (of all the times for you not to cut'n'paste the whole article, X :P ):
Initially, Ferguson said she was anxious about what would become of Tom’s, which is known as much for its intimate atmosphere as for its beer, but now the strange reality of moving is slowly settling in.

“I think everybody will have a few tears. It’ll be sad,” she said.

However, she said they are currently in talks with a few potential property owners and hopes to make a formal announcement in the next two weeks.

“The real hardcore regulars know that we’re moving somewhere close,” she said, hinting only that the bar, along with The Fireside restaurant which she also co-owns, will be within a four block radius of their current locations.

She believes that “new is good,” although jokes they will have to “muddy up,” the bar’s new spot to make it truly feel like Tom’s.

They still even have the contact information of the artist who pained the bar’s mural 18 year ago, she added
Also this means Rogue's Roost is done in their current location as well. It'll be harder for them to relocate a brewery. I haven't been there in ages, but I give them (and Granite) credit for helping start me down the road towards better beer a long time ago.

Karen Allen is the brewer there now and the quality and consistancy shows it. I don't frequent the Roost like I use to, but the beer is better now. Now if they only could work on the food.

According to the poll at the bottom, only 19% think it's a problem.

Gary Lohin, brewmaster at Vancouver’s Central City Brewers – where the biggest seller, by far, is the Red Racer IPA – says that the tastes and aromas of Cascade hops and similar varieties, particularly those grown in the Yakima region of Washington State, are unlike any other hops in the world.

“These hops give you really grapefruity, piney notes,” he says. “That stuff started the craze. You can’t find those types of hops anywhere else. It’s the terroir, it’s the soil. If you have an IPA made with English hops, hardly anybody is going to buy it.”
Either that guy can't brew or just doesn't know what the fuck he is talking about.
