Don't forget Steve Trickett lives out there now and is a manager in a private liquor store which stocks over 800 different types of beers. I'll get the name of the place and let you guys know. :cheers3:

Uhh.. ya! I didn't know this. I'm bad with names, is Steve your buddy that worked at Noble Grape? If not.. who is he? ha

Regardless, sounds like a great guy to hang out with here in Calgary. Jamie, we'll definitely start hosting some meetings. We need a good 'clever' name for our BN'er branch. We'll brainstorm over some beers at some point.

Couple of Tall Ships in the hest of the Jazzfest tent. Now home, and it's the "Gin-Off" Hendricks, vs.. Ungava vs. Uncle Val's.

Straight up, then with tonic.

Hot day drinks, for me, G&T rocks.

Though I once drank 31 Bud Lites on a 104 degree day in Massachusetts. :headbang: :mebeer:

Guys, in Calgary, go to the Wild Rose Brewery for Friday afternoon and evening cask days. Make it known you're a brewer. The local Calgary Club hangs out there. Not sure if Mike Nazarec is still there. The people in the brewhouse are also in the homebrew club, or were.

The "other Pinhey", Craig and my brother Scott, lives in Kensington, 1/2 a block outside the evacuation zone. Near Kensington Wine Mart which has a great beer selection, though not as big as where Steve is apparently now working. Craig and I visit Scott on occasion. Keep in touch and we'll hook up next visit (probably September)

Yup, plan to get down to WR at some point (they aren't really in an ideal 'have a few drinks' location). I've joined the local club but haven't made it to a meeting yet (they've only had 2-3 since I've been in town). The forum is deader than dead so haven't really been able to socialize with the locals yet. Defenitely let Jamie and I know when you're headed out and we'll get together for some beers (maybe try and have a tasting).

LD, yup the coop liquor stores are definitely the best. I'll have to look Steve up on FB and see which location he is working at (there are quite a few) and drop in to talk beer.

Thanks for the info guys.

Tim

Had a Hobgoblin that was "best before 2011". First time I've had that beer and I really enjoyed it.
