This is awesome. It always baffled me that NBLC wasn't carrying Chimay, Duvel and Maredsous.

Anybody tried the new IPA from Hop City (Moosehead "craft" brand)? Wondering if I should splurge $13 on a six pack, sounds pretty good, 70 ibu 7.1% abv, hopped with citra, mosiac, summitt and willamette.

Fermenting: Oud bruin/Vienna Pekko SMaSH
On tap: Nelson dry hopped Berliner/ Scottish Heavy 70-/ NE IPA

It's surprisingly not bad at all... definitely worth trying, considering your limited amount of quality IPAs at the ANBL.

It's ok. I find the malt profile a bit off for my tastes. I can't pinpoint what the source of the off flavour is but I had one the other night and it was just ok by my books. I don't mind swinging one your way with the next order if you want.

Noticed that more stock of Muskoka Legendary Oddity is on its way. Also, the Product Price List PDF (not the online inventory) shows Muskoka Mad Tom IPA and Detour 6-packs at $16.99 each....pretty steep if you ask me. Priced at $13.65 at the LCBO.

There will be an awesome (but very limited) selection of new beers on the shelves of some NBLC stores in the Moncton area very shortly. Keep your eyes open!

Some more good stuff came in this week, Steamworks Pale Ale and Pilsner, as well as three beers from La Naufrageur.

Some new imports on the way include Belhaven Black Stout (nitro, and it's been at the NSLC for a while), and a new one from Innis & Gunn - "Malt Whiskey Trail". Schneider Weiss Original should be on shelves shortly as well.

Also of note...Hobgoblin and King Goblin will be re-stocked soon, and there is already new inventory of the Dominus Vobiscum Blanche and Lupulus.

Noticed that the Trou Du Diable inventory has really been cleaned out at my nearest store, though there is still plenty of Howe Sound swing-tops and Red Racer Imperial IPA, as well as the Ontario cans - Lake of Bays, Amsterdam, etc.

A few more updates....Red Racer Session Series is on shelves, as is Cannery Brewing Naramata Nut Brown and Maple Stout.

On another note, Pump House confirmed that S.O.B. is now draught only, no more bottles. This was a go-to, oh well.

I've done a couple of special orders where the lady from ANBL has contacted me to see if I wanted in a special order they were bringing in for a festival (Trou du Diable for Moncton although that made it's way to shelves and Flying Monkeys for the Brewers Bash). Speaking of the brewers bash, the leftovers are supposed to go on the shelves in 3 locations I think in the near future. She is supposed to send me an email to advise me when and where - PM me and I'll contact you whenever I hear anything related to the special order on shelves or anything else she contacts me about.

Just a heads up that the Brewer's Bash leftovers might be hitting the shelves sometime next week. The good news is that licensees won't be able to purchase any of the beers until being on the shelves for 3 days to the general public.

That's a good way to do it.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Yep, agreed. It certainly prevents what happened last year.

Is that ALL stores or select locations?

Last year it was two locations in Fredericton, one in Moncton, and one in Rothesay. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm guessing it will be similar.

Three days? I can't see there being much left over after three HOURS, after hearing about last year's fiasco!

Shane, you personally got two black eyes and a broken pelvis, didn't you?

Mark the Thor's Hammer is really good, but I'm not liking this year's oddity as much as last year's.

The Rothesay store didn't have much left 8 hours into the sale.

There have been a couple of delays getting the beers on the shelves, but I've been told "maybe next week".
