Yes, Dogfishhead has the same thing except they call it the randall jr
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Well, at least Keith's is acknowledging their current lack of flavour. |:)

I can't wait to get one, going to see if it'll work for holding dry hops in the keg.

On Facebook they recommended infusing it with coffee.

I used this in the keg, 1.5 oz will fill one side completely.
I'm trying to gear up a magnet to suspend it from the lid, my first attempt ended up in the bottom if the keg.

I use similar that I got at a tea store locally. I hook 2 of them together and keep them suspended by tying them to the outside of the lid with unflavoured dental floss. Still seals fine.

Cool, do you think this would work in a boil kettle?

I think it would restrict the hops too much in the boil.

Dental floss, eh? Excellent tip. We got something similar to these, though quite a bit bigger, from a junk shop and weren't really sure how best to suspend it. I bet fishing line would work alright too.

Why do you need to suspend this in the keg? Wouldn't the bottom be ok since that is where the beer is flowing out?

BTW, I have never dry-hopped in my keg. Do you have to worry about grassy off-flavours if the keg isn't completely drank in a couple of weeks?

I've had issues with sealing around fishing line, you'd need to use ultra light weight line where it doesn't compress. I use the flat, unflavored dental floss
Kegged: El Dorado IPA, Rocketfuel 2.0, Wet Hopped Pale, Ryrish Red, Marzen, BN Exchange Dunkel, BN Exchange NEIPA, Lies Lies Lies - Citra <0.5% ale
Fermenting: NZ Pilsner with Enigma, Strawberry brett cider

If it is suspended it will lose contact with the beer and not get grassy, as the keg emptys.

-1 This tastes like fruit infused Keith's

I use a boiled ss hose clamp tightened gently around the "nub" of the pressure release valve inside the keg. I tie the dental floss to the clamp and tighten it around the nub suspending a tea ball full of hops from the inside of the lid. When I take the lid off when the keg kicks I lift the ball right out by the lid (or if want it out sooner).

I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe
