Source for bottled beer in Vegas?

Post by mcgster » Tue Apr 08, 2014 9:13 pm

Has anyone traveled to Vegas and found much in the line of bottled beer to bring home?

I have found my fair amount of good beer on top but I want to pack my suitcase for my duty free allowance and the only spot on the strip I could find was ABC stores.

I tracked down lees discount liquor it was about a 20 minute walk from where I'm staying. After contemplating carrying 24 beer on the 20 minute walk back I decided against it. I noticed a Walgreens close to the palazzo and thought I'd check it out. Turned out they had a pretty decent selection. I picked up three 6 packs of new to me beer

when we were there we were told to go to the "Shale" which turned out to be a Shell gas station

I found an amazing spot for beer just a few minutes away walking. It's called public house, check out their beer list.

If you're looking for beer on tap, I was there in March and found this place in the Monte Carlo called The Pub. Between bottles and taps, they probably have close to a couple hundered different beers.

I have heard of the pub at the Monte Carlo. I may venture there tonight! Although there were quite a few on the list at the public house that I still wanted to try. I had to cut myself off at some point last night

I just found the beer list from the pub... It's 13 pages long!

The place is pretty good. When we were there was the same weekend as the NASCAR race in Vegas. They were brining in a bunch of the drivers to interview them for a station on Sirius.

If you're willing to wander off the strip this place is great.

I believe there is a hotel nearby that runs a shuttle to the strip so you can get there cheap.
