Could there be changes coming at Garrison?

The seasonal brews, produced in small batches, are not really the big money makers. “They divert production time and money from our year-round brews,” Mr. Titus says.
Garrison also needs to work on having a common brand look so people know right away that they’re buying a Garrison product.

I know there's change coming to Rockbottom.
Another thing Garrison may want to think about is contracting out their brewing capacity. This way, Garrison can expand their capacity without having to make a capital investment. But if they do this, they will want to keep a very close eye on the production process and quality. They’re known for making beer a certain way, so they need to make sure the other brewery follows their process exactly.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

From what I've heard, there's a new production facility coming to Halifax that Garrison will be producing all of their year-round/flagship brews in. The current brewery will remain, but will be used for producing the seasonals, as an experimental brewery, and the public facing view of Garrison.

Again, this is all hearsay from a few friends that claim to be in the know, so take with a grain of salt.

Just like they did when they make our Bitter  They changed the grains, grain amounts, IBU's, and used a completely different yeast  The more i get into brewing the more i'm bummed that it went down that way.
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

The obvious solution is for Garrison to contract out its brewing to 1029 Brewing.

I'm not sure they could be trusted not to improve on the recipe. I think a better solution would be to contract it to Keith's - who, as X keeps telling us, still brew to the absolute letter of their ancient recipes. :pow:
Currently on tap: Nothing!
In keg: Still nothing.
In Primary: Doggone American Rye Pale Ale

As you should be. It's a god damned fucking farce for them NOT to brew the real recipe so they can save $300 in specialty raw materials. Another mess of a marketing scam for them, and that's all they care about :pow:

To be honest, they could contract out their year 'round brews and I wouldn't care. The only one I buy besides seasonals and specialty brews is Hop Yard and that's only a sixer once or twice a year because I'm desperate for something with hops and I've fucked up my brewing schedule (or haven't gotten to the H&T for a real dose of hops).
