What's on @ Pump House?

Post by PEIBeerGuy » Sun Mar 13, 2011 6:27 pm

I think I'm going to be in Moncton a week from Monday. On Pump House's site, I see conflicting info as to what their seasonal schedule is, plus what beers are available now. Does anyone who was just there have any info as to what I can get my hands on when I'm there in a week?

I was there last Monday, and it was their Rye Pale Ale (not on this Seasonals list). I don't think it can be trusted.

RPA is on this list: http://beer.pumphousebrewery.ca/restaurant/beer.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Looks like you'll be playing beer roulette. It's worth one visit (maybe two if there's something you really like on), then try out Marky's Laundromat: http://goo.gl/maps/5gJt" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's some funny stuff gentlemen. The last update on that website was done by me in the spring of 2009 before I left. As soon as I left they started brewing different specialty beers at different times of the year. The RIS, the wethop 'Hop Mess' and others were never made again.

Sad... I was hoping I could try some of that stuff. Ah well.
Chris, how was the RPA? I'll prob try it no matter what you say, though... I was looking around at online info on Marky's today. I then saw your "like" on Acadie Broue. Did you try that saison pictured? I'm intrigued.
I'll be going over Monday with Carolyn and a friend of hers. I may be babysitting myself some of the day drinking beer while they shop... a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do...

Did not try the RPA, I stuck the IPA when I visited last week.
I still have not had the elusive Acadie Broue, I only signed up on Facebook in the hopes of getting updates when a keg is delivered. I've been in 10 times over the past 18 months and have yet to see it available.

Pump House website update every 2 years, that seems about right...

I made it to Moncton Monday (despite a cold). Marky's had no Acadie Broue. Did you get to try some @ Garrison last week?
We also went to the PH for a late lunch. Pulled pork sandwich was great. I just had the sampler of their beer. I'd had about four of the beers on it before. Two or three of the rest were decent / interesting enough to try in full-size form some other time. Figures that I'd have all this new beer at home (and make it Moncton), for March Break, and get sick as frig. Dagnabbit.

PS - how'd your Pliny clone and nut brown pan out?

Did get to try the Acadie-Broue, his Barleywine. Was quite good, I quite enjoyed it. Good malt and hop aroma. I think it was 8% ? (it was a busy night)

I loved the Barleywine! Couldn't get enough of it. Well... next morning at 6am when I got up for work, I realized I did in fact drink more than enough lol. And yes, it was 8%.
