NSLC to allow Premier to bring in high ABV beers

Post by akr71 » Fri Mar 11, 2011 8:23 am

I was told (over Facebook) by a person who works at Premier that the NSLC has given them permission to bring in high ABV beers like Utopias, Tactical Nuclear Penguin and Sink the Bismark. His words: "The NSLC will finally let us bring in higher alcohol beers into the province! Who wants to pay $100/bottle of beer? Andrew: they just said that they will let us do it. Before they said that stuff was never going to come into the province but after months of negotiations they said they would consider it okay to do so. now we just need to figure out a pricing structure and all that. I say XMAS before it arrives..if at all."

Take that info for what its worth...

A follow up:

Ben Lemieux (via facebook) says:The NSLC will definitely let us bring in strong beers!!!! it will be here shortly?!
and posted a link to Brew Dog's Sink the Bismark.

For some reason I'm more excited about the prospect of TNP than Bismark...

Having had both, I absolutely loved Sink the Bismarck. I absolutely loved the massive hop aroma, and killer bitterness. Yum!
