Re: New Garrison Brew Next Week
LOL. Bobby and I were asked to pose by the marketing (?) gal as we were checking out. They said we were the first to buy it, but that's not true, there were a couple of folks ahead of us.
I tried the Pils tonight. EZ really liked it, and I thought it was good. I think we're cracking an aged OFB tonight. Celebrating the birthday week.

At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.

Happy birthday, then, Chris, whether it be belated, early, or bang-on.
Hope the new brew was good!

Re: New Garrison Brew Next Week
I forgot to post up:
The barrel-aged Ol' Fog Burner is awesome. You can tell that these were "wet" barrels, lots of whiskey nose to the beer. I found that the vanilla really came through as well. Very pleased with the beer, and looking forward to enjoying it again soon. I spent the first 5 minutes just smelling the beer, and after it was gone, I kept smelling the empty glass as well.

Ooo... sounds like my kind of stuff! Can't wait to get my hands on 'em!
I'm thinking I'm going to have one nice little haul next time I'm over in Hali to pick up this stuff and shop around as well.

Haven't had the chance to crack one open yet. A bit of distraction arrived for me on Friday night.

Congrats. I say keep one until she's 19, and then share it with her.BobbyOK wrote:Haven't had the chance to crack one open yet. A bit of distraction arrived for me on Friday night.

She was released on the same day as the beer (or vice versa).

Just a heads up, I went by Garrison's today, and I heard there were about 100 or so Glenora fog burners left.

Their Facebook page says that there is still 9 Glenora Fob Burners left. Hopefully, they end up in a Brewnoser's hands.
Edit: err, Fog Burners
