Might add that I've been really into the Brooklyn IPA and Pennant Ale available at Premier right now. Both are great warm weather beers (if we ever get any) for anybody looking for something different to drink this summer.

Going to put a plug in...
A few weeks ago the missus and I travelled down to Liverpool to Lane's Privateer's Inn. She ordered the poutine...hand-cut fries, home made gravy and house-smoked cheese curds. Just fucking fantastic!! I got the nachos...also quite amazing. When you add the fact that you can get Hell Bay English Ale on tap, it's absolutely worth the drive!!! You will not get better poutine in the province!!! Overall, the menu looks very impressive, with a huge emphasis on local products.

I can second that.
Last year we (Family) had the worst camping trip ever. Thomas Radell Sucked.
Stopped for supper and stayed for 2 hours (Wife drove back).
Food was great server was over worked but good at handeling it. Beer was unexpected and very nice.
If you are in the area I can recomend it.

Agree for sure. Couldn't ask for a nicer setting for a sunny afternoon. Beer and food were great.

Lanes is run and owned by Susan Lane. U believe she is 4th generation owner. She took the Sommelier course a few years ago when I was teaching the beer part. That place is an outpost of culture. And she's a really nice gal. I strongly recommend watching for live music at the Astor Theatre upon which to base a weekend trip. We did that a couple of years ago when Sarah Harmer played there. The band stayed at Lanes. Party went on in the bar late.

I lived there for years when I worked at the mill. Best apple crisp in the province at that time. Hope the place can hang on.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter.
