This ain't no beer porn....

Post by NASH » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:03 pm

I was trying to sell a load of Cascade flowers last week but after nobody jumped on my stunningly low prices I decided to use them all in a batch. 22 lbs to be exact. And so here it is, a little Cascade porn...

A wee 13 lb brick....

The body bags......

The large bag on top has 7 lbs in it....

A little lupulin left behind....

Kettle dipstick in the drain outlet to stop any bags from getting sucked in during the knock-out....

Now who's gonna dig all those bad boys out of the kettle? :pow:  :cheers2:

Sent from the hop-phone.

Meh, just another batch of homebrew

It's a Cascade SMaSH. Now, it's not unusual for me to use 20 - 25 lbs or so in a 500L batch of IPA but that generally includes some massive dry-hopping, not the case with this one, I used every Cascade flower in the house for hop-burst boil additions so there'll be no dry-hopping. BUT I do have that bottle of pure Cascade oil that's looking for a new home and this beer just might be it's calling.

Cool pics. I don't recall you listing those cascade hops publicly, but we were actually putting together some peeps to grab some of them. No biggie, the hop shortage is dead!!!

No I didn't list them publicly, just to a couple brewers that make hop-bombs on larger systems, obviously there was a misunderstanding! I've been lugging those bad boys around for a month at least, in the way at the H&T, into my car, into the rental car, in the parking garage for a couple days, into my living room, into the bedroom - no room for them there either, back into my car, just wanted them gone, thought about making a huge batch of oil with them, thought about dropping the price more to get the resounding 'Yes I'll take them, right now'. Finally I said fuck it, they're all going in the kettle, tomorrow!

I had no idea that group buy was going on since I hardly ever look in that section and the new post headers in there don't appear on the main page. So there you have it, I used all of everyones' hops!! My apologies Robert and everyone else, I had no idea. On the other hand, you can all head down to the H&T in a couple weeks to drink your shares worth of them! :cheers2:

No apologies necessary. We'll get more. That was bad communication on my end.
