KitchenAid grain mill
Has anyone tried one of these to mill their grain? I used mine for the first time today to mill a small amount of specialty grain and it seemed like the biggest crush might still be too small. I'm not really excited for the possibility of another stuck sparge.

Re: KitchenAid grain mill
I haven't used one, but actually came across a thread at homebrewtalk.com the other day. There seems to be lots of discussion on the topic over there, might find something helpful.

Cheers, looks like it's not going to work as well as I had hoped. I think the biggest problem is the shear volume. It is a pretty small rig.

Check out the thread on the barely crusher, seems like a pretty good price with the beersmith discount. I think that's the route I will be taking.

I'll echo the sentiments from the thread... It's not ideal to mill grain for brewing, not to mention, it is extremely expensive. I have one already, so I have used it, but I would not recommend going out and spending that kind of cash on it for the purpose of milling grain for beer.
