Hi Guys,
We are a Makea, a startup launching a new beer maker for the common beer drinker and are looking for feedback from the customers. We are currently collecting features from the customers to build a better prototype. If you would like to participate in he process, you can have a look at our prototype and fill the survey!
Here' s the link for the survey:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QMNPSV5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you would like to follow the project, here's the link to subscribe to the mailing list:

I know that it might seems off topic, but in case that would you be interested to help us in our development!
Thanks for your time and collaboration!
David

Re: Makea - Beer making device
Checked out and did your survey, but it is almost impossible to say anything meaningful, because there is so little info about how it works. In general, I was concerned that your survey asked more questions about meaningless stuff like swag and blog access than it did about anything to do with the actual mechanics of brewing. As far as I can tell, you're talking about adding Sodastream-style syrups to a Mr. Beer-style base mix. This doesn't really sound attractive to anyone I can think of. If I want easy access to beer, I can just pick it up from the store. If I am going to invest in a homebrewing machine, it should allow me to actually do some brewing, i.e., the PicoBrew Zymatic. You might be able to bring out a product that is essentially the PicoBrew Zymatic, but with malt extract as the base. If that's what you're going for, then fair enough, but you'll want to have options to add hops and other real ingredients, and not just just 'flavour cartridges'. Also: It doesn't help that your sample website shows no evidence that you guys know anything about beer. It might be that you're just typing random stuff at this point to flesh out a website template, but you've got an 'IPA' as one of your sample recipes (https://projects.invisionapp.com/share/ ... /133351966" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), which is 'dark brown, almost black' and 'very spicy', and which apparently use lime and maple syrup as flavour additions. Yikes!

Yeah, basically I said in the survey what was said above - if I can't use regular brewing ingredients (even extract) from my local homebrew store then I wouldn't recommend this to my friends.
Believe me, if for under 500 bucks you could get a little countertop box that you could use somehow to brew/ferment/chill/carb/dispense 2 gallon batches of extract beer (with the ability to steep specialty grains before the boil) that would be the beginner dream - LME to glass in one vessel with no real sanitation issues (sealed after boiling) and no bottling.
