Growler Filling @ Bishops Cellar

Post by Jimmy » Fri Apr 03, 2015 11:13 pm

Saw on instagram last night that the planning for the Bishops Cellar growler filling station is finally making some progress! Sounds like maybe 6 taps?

Really high hopes that this works out and they have some great beer available down there! Hopefully they see what Rockhead is doing, and do the opposite

We had a meeting with the GM of Bishop's, and made the comment that it was unfortunate that it seemed that 2-4 of RockHead's (and Harvest's) taps were products also available in other package formats, and not at any reduced price. He agreed with us that that seems like a waste of space, and said that was exactly not what they were planning on doing. So I have high hopes for the new beer setup down there! Should mean access to some new product in the HRM.

#growlerfills #whatdefinesagrowler :spilly:
"Twenty years ago — a time, by the way, that hops such as Simcoe and Citra were already being developed, but weren’t about to find immediate popularity — there wasn’t a brewer on earth who would have gone to the annual Hop Growers of American convention and said, “I’m going to have a beer that we make 4,000 barrels of, one time a year. It flies off the shelf at damn near $20 a six-pack, and you know what it smells like? It smells like your cat ate your weed and then pissed in the Christmas tree.” - Bell’s Brewery Director of Operations John Mallet on the scent of their popular Hopslam.

Just an FYI that Bishops is closed until 4 today to do inventory. Heading back to Amherst empty handed.
