Howdy!
I'm headed to Vegas for the Labour Day weekend. It'll be my first time, and it likely will not be gentle.
I've got some plans made, but none of them revolve around beer. This needs to change. Any recommendations on must-try local beers, or must-visit brewpubs?

Re: Beers in Las Vegas
I think you might have to travel off the strip a bit to find much of interest outside of Sin City Brewing at the Flamingo and Venetian. The last time I was in Vegas I had a hard job finding much outside of fizzy yellow water in plastic screw top (or tin) bottles which meant mostly bourbon and scotch for me. Mind you that was about 4 years ago and I'm guessing a bit has changed in the beer scene in LV since then.

I was there in May. You do need to travel off the strip to get to any brewpubs. The only place on the strip that I found had a really good beer menu was called the "burger bar" in Mandalay Bay. The only brewpub I made it to was the 777 brewing company, its in the Main Street Station Casino in old Vegas. If your over that way, its worth a visit. Decent food and beer!

I was there in July, and there is a small kiosk of a bar in Mandalay Bay called Pour 24. 24 taps, most of them decent micros. It's right across from the Magic Shop.
