Grabbing a brew in Quebec City

Post by jtmwhyte » Sun Feb 09, 2014 10:03 pm

It looks like me and 4 buddies will be making a road trip to Quebec City on the 21st of March and I was wondering if anyone has suggestions of where to grab some local brews in tap in the downtown area.

Tap 2:
"Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain -
Quaintest thoughts - queerist fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today." ~ Poe

My cousin moved up there last year, let me ask him if he knows of any good spots.

La Barberie is a must. L'archibald serves good beer and good food. L'inox was still a great spot last time I went, but I haven't been in there in forever. Pub St. Alexandre on Saint-Jean Street has a great selection of imports (check out their beer menu, you'll be amazed!).

For an INSANE beer selction that you can bring home, check out Le Monde des bières on the corner of Hamel and Marie de l'Incarnation.

I know the strip clubs are crazy expensive but I don't know about any good bars.

I lived in QC for 6 months, and my go-to for a pint was Le Sacrilege. Cheap pints of local brews in the afternoons. Enjoy!

I was in Quebec last year in March and really enjoyed the beers at L'inox.

Pub St Alexandre was my favorite spot in years past.
At Alexander Keith's we follow the recipes first developed by the great brewmaster to the absolute letter. :wtf:

Hi guys, I will be leaving for QC on the 24th for a week, staying in old quebec. Just curious as to whether there have been any updates to the list of beer places discussed here previously? I would also be curious to hear if you have specific restaurant / food recommendations.

Kind thanks in advance :spilly:
